A poker tracker without installation: what Poker Studio does differently

Classic poker trackers are desktop programs. They read your hand histories while you play, store them in a database and show a HUD with opponent stats over the table. Poker Studio is deliberately something else: a studio for the work after the session, for now. This article says honestly what fits when and what Poker Studio has only planned so far.

What a classic tracker does

  • HUD at the table: opponent stats live over the table. Poker Studio does not do this today.
  • Auto-import from the hand history folder while you play. Planned for Poker Studio, with a desktop app.
  • Many rooms and games, depending on the product. Planned for Poker Studio.
  • In exchange: installation, often a local database, licence costs, usually tied to one operating system.

What Poker Studio does differently

  • No installation. Runs in the browser, the same on Windows, Mac and Linux. Your hands live in your account, not on one machine.
  • Understand hands, not only count them. Replayer, your thoughts per street attached to the hand, session journal and maxims. Every stat shows "x of y hands", so you see how solid a number is.
  • Ranges and training in one place. Your own range library, range trainer, push/fold drill, flashcards and our own standard ranges from our solver, not copied.
  • Equity and pot odds in the same tool.
  • Share hands with a link and preview image, e.g. on Discord or with your coach.
  • AI assistant via MCP: give your assistant a token with exactly the rights you choose, for learning after the session, never as help at the table.

What Poker Studio does not do (yet)

  • No HUD and no live help at the table.
  • Import today covers PokerStars hand histories (English) and the Open Hand History format (OHH); more rooms as needed.
  • No background auto-import: you drag and drop files, or an AI agent such as Claude, Codex or Gemini imports them for you with an access key from the settings.
  • No desktop app yet. It is planned, together with more rooms and games.
  • Closed beta: access by invitation.

Where Poker Studio is heading

Poker Studio wants to be the one tool for your game, with everything in one place: hands, notes, ranges, training and review. Hence the motto "One Game - One Tool". A desktop app, more rooms and more games are planned but not available yet. What is being built right now is on the roadmap.

In short

  • Tracker = at the table, studio = after the session.
  • Poker Studio: browser, replayer, thoughts, ranges, trainer, equity, sharing.
  • No HUD; import today covers PokerStars and OHH.
  • Planned: a desktop app with auto-import, more rooms and games, all in one tool.
